Lehigh Valley Recommendations From Family Blogger, “Lehigh Valley With Littles:”
The Lehigh Valley is an amazing area with so much to explore! As a local, there are still new places I’m discovering! From our more urban areas to the rural mountains up north, there’s a wide range of family friendly activities at every turn.
Allentown Area
Da Vinci Science Center - Where education meets fun! School aged kiddos can explore everything from our local watershed to the human body.
Depending on the time of year you can catch an ice hockey game at the PPL Center [Let’s go Phantoms!]. Or head to Coca Cola Park for some minor league baseball [Oink on!]
Need some thrills? Head over to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom! Open from May through October this amusement park has something for everyone. Younger kids can enjoy the rides in Planet Snoopy [and meet some lovable Peanuts characters as well].
Bethlehem Area
Bethlehem is home to the largest FREE music festival in the country, MUSIKFEST! The whole city is alive with art, music, and great food. It’s also filled with history, including Moravian Church Settlements - Bethlehem which was officially announced as our country's newest UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Easton Area
Crayola Experience - Need a creative outlet? Swing down to the city of Easton and step inside the colorful world of Crayola! Multiple stories of fun await! Downtown Easton is also home to many amazing shops and restaurants - I suggest checking out the Easton Public Market!
Klein Farms - Ice cream, animals, and two playgrounds? A perfect little countryside adventure with your family.
Some other notable mentions!
Premise Maid - Before heading home, make a pit stop at Premise Maid. Here you will find everything from locally made ice cream to chocolate, and even some amazing baked goods.
The Lehigh Valley is also filled with many family friendly breweries and wineries such as:
Retriever Brewing Company [Orefield]
Tolino Vineyards [Bangor]
Rising River Brewery [Macungie]
Wanderlust Beer Garden [Forks Township]
And, there’s truly so much more! Follow my adventures in the region at LehighValleyWithLittles.com. You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram!
